This is the youngest member of the African Elephant herd at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. This little boy, not named yet, was born 3/11/07 to mother Litsemba. Here he is seen trying to lay with Vus'musi a 3 year old male, also born at the park to mother Ndula. As you can see Vus'musi didn't like it and kicked him pretty hard to get him off. Both Litsemba and Ndula came running to make sure their baby boys were alright. Neither of them left their boys alone after that.

I go there all the time! I was there the day he was born, but i think he was born after i left :(

i havent been able to make it down there since.

I just love this picture of him and Vus'musi though ^^

Aww so cute. I love baby elephants, they are so cute and playful. I watched 8 baby elephants at our local zoos throughtout the last 8 years. And 2 new ones are on the way...:D

The photo is so cute. I love how all the newborns are the center of attention. Did they already keep him with all the adults?
